My name is Matthew R. Eaton BS, DC and I was born in Valparaiso, Indiana.  My family is from a small town south of LaPorte called Union Mills, Indiana.  When I was 13 years old I moved out to the Pacific Northwest with my father and there I graduated from Oregon City High School in 1993. I met my wife Cathy that same year and we later married in 1995.

In 1998, I started my undergraduate studies at Life University in Marietta, Georgia and in 2000 I was accepted into the College of Chiropractic at Life University. I graduated in December of 2003 with my Doctorate in Chiropractic. Following college I practiced in South Bend, Indiana for three and a half years as an associate.

In March 2007 I opened Eaton Chiropractic Inc. in Michigan City, Indiana.

I have been a licensed Chiropractor in Indiana since January of 2004 and in August of 2006 I received a license to practice in the state of Ohio. I am also a member in good standing with the American Chiropractic Association and Life University Alumni Association. I continue to further my education by attending classes and seminars in patient care.

In my spare time I spend it with my wife and two wonderful boys usually fishing or exploring the great outdoors. I also coach baseball and football during the summer and fall.

I believe with all my heart in the principles of chiropractic- ' the power that made the body can heal the body...B.J. Palmer'

I invite you and your family to join our family here at Eaton Chiropractic and start living a healthier lifestyle pain free and experience what so many others already have.

My name is Erika Leigh Maroon DC. You can call me Doctor Erika. I was born in South Bend, IN. I Moved to Peoria, IL in the summer of 2000. My family and I stayed in the area until I graduated Dunlap High School in 2010. I met my future husband during that time. We were married in the summer of 2016.

Following high school, I was given the opportunity to play softball in college and further my education. I attended Parkland College in Champaign, IL where I achieved an Associate of Science. I Transferred to Purdue University Northwest in 2012, where I earned a Bachelor of liberal studies. For those of you who have been a part of the practice for some time, you may recognize me. I graduated with my Doctorate of Chiropractic in October of 2017.

In my free time, I enjoy many outdoor activities including taking our dog on walks, going to the dog park, biking, visiting the dunes and botanical garden, as well as swimming in Lake Michigan. My husband and I enjoy staying active playing co-ed softball, volleyball, and ice hockey. When we aren’t playing sports we enjoy watching them. Our favorite team for Hockey is the Chicago Blackhawks. We try to catch a game at the united center whenever we can. As for baseball, we are a house divided; my husband is a huge Cubs fan while I root for the St. Louis cardinals. I have a passion for teaching children about softball, the game I love and spent so much time playing. I am hoping to be a softball coach and have a strong presence in the community.

  • Ashley
Licensed Massage Therapist, Certified Chiropractic Technologist, Licensed Chiropractic X-Ray Tech.

I am from Crown Point, Indiana. I went to Purdue for advertising after high school. After a few years I decided that I wanted to do something different, something to help people, so I went to massage school at American College of Massage. I was very fortunate to find this job right after I started school. I graduated in September 2013 and I am now the head massage therapist here at Eaton Chiropractic. I couldn't be happier...well, unless I won the Lottery!

I never knew it was possible to have a job you actually love. At Eaton Chiropractic I get to help patients feel better every day while working with the best team anyone could ask for!

  • An Apple a Day . . .

What is so good about an apple? Is it the color, ranging from ruby red to pale pink? Is it the crunch? The sweetness? Or is it, instead, a combination of all of these qualities, plus the natural goodness derived from the apple's secret ingredients — phytonutrients? If this were a multiple choice quiz, the answer would be "all of the above". Importantly, in addition to possessing numerous appealing physical qualities, apples contain an abundance of health-promoting biochemicals known as phytonutrients.1,2 These specific organic molecules are derived not only from apples but many other fresh fruits and vegetables, and help power the immune system, protect against cancer, maintain healthy eyes, and assist cells in clearing out metabolic waste products such as free radicals. ...
